At Permobil, our goal is to create mobility solutions that maximize independence, life participation, and health; whether that’s from a seated position, standing position, or anywhere in between.
With the launch of the new F5 Corpus VS Group 3, we took the opportunity to bring together a panel of key stakeholders to discuss access to power standing. Power standing is critical for some individuals in addressing overall health and life participation, yet historically there have been significant barriers to accessing this technology.
Webinar panelists included Ashley Detterbeck, DPT, ATP/SMS, Permobil clinical education manager for the central region; Joseph Letterio, a published author, radio contributor, and standing power wheelchair user; Nicole LaBerge, PT, ATP, a level III physical therapist with Hennepin Healthcare who specializes in wheeled seating and mobility assessments; and Peter Thomas, coordinator of the ITEM Coalition, which includes a group of disability organizations, aging organizations, other consumer groups, voluntary health associations, and non-profit provider associations working together to address inadequate access to assistive devices, technologies, and related services.
Watch the webinar below as Ashley, Nicole, Joseph, and Peter discuss the why behind power standing, challenges to access, and what you can do to stand for more.
The F5 Corpus VS is now available in more funding categories. The health and functional benefits of power standing are more accessible than ever with base options to meet a wider variety of funding scenarios. Click here to learn more about the F5 Corpus VS.
