This 1-hour webinar will review the extensive product offering that Permobil seating and mobility solutions can provide for people who are people living in larger bodies. According to the World Health Organization, a person living with a BMI of 30 kg/m2 is considered obese. When selecting seating and mobility product solutions, we have to consider the weight capacity, size, shape, configuration, and environmental barriers related to products that will meet client's needs. This webinar will begin by summarizing seating and positioning considerations for a client who is of larger stature. The focus will then be on the variety of back supports, seating surfaces, accessories, and custom solutions for postural support and skin management. Finally we will review rugged and reliable mobility solutions to enhance function while accommodating unique body shapes that may occur in this population.
