Ready For Takeoff: Design and Application of a New Pediatric Manual Wheelchair

Permobil TiLite Pilot pediatric manual wheelchair from inception to utilization

Watch the webinar:

Description:
This exciting webinar discusses the Permobil TiLite Pilot pediatric manual wheelchair from inception to utilization. Members from Permobil’s education, design, and engineering teams discuss this revolutionary pediatric wheelchair that can enhance function and utilization for our youngest TiLite riders. First, we provide an overview of the conceptualization of design; why forward growth is important and how the structure of the molded side panels allow for optimal propulsion from the beginning. Second, we discuss the clinical implications of manual wheelchair configuration in the younger population. Specifically, we focus on how configuration influences propulsion technique and enhances anterior stability while allowing for independent propulsion for growth and development of the pediatric population. Finally, we review configuration and components specific to the TiLite Pilot, as well as, briefly highlight some of the innovative adjustments which are commonly modified, such as seat depth and seat width. We hope that you watch the webinar to learn more about how the TiLite Pilot will allow our youngest stars to soar.
