Ekow's story
Through his own social media channels, Ekow is an advocate for the BAFTA-winning organisation TripleC and DANC, whose mission is to bring more talent with disabilities into the arts, and advocates for the non-profit organisation The Nerve of My Multiple Sclerosis, which provides support for black people living with MS.
As someone living with MS himself, Ekow is no stranger to the challenges the condition brings to his daily life, whether as a self-employed creative or as a full-time carer for his partner Carly, who is also living with MS.
Blessed with a radiant character, Ekow has an unwaveringly positive outlook on life. He is a dedicated gym enthusiast and does not let his mobility limit him. He trains diligently with weights and competes in basketball. When not working on his career or self-improvement, Ekow performs as a spoken word poet and loves to travel.
"Every day I choose to be there - whether that is the work I am passionate about, the organisations I advocate for, the partner I care for or achieving personal achievements for myself," Ekow says. "Every time I show up, even when it's hard, I prove to myself that I am unstoppable."
