Permobil teams across the globe have worked quickly and intentionally on several initiatives that minimize the risk of spreading contamination, while allowing us to continue to serve your needs. Below you will find additional information on our strategic priorities during this time.

The unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19 has challenged us all.

Our primary focus at the outset of this pandemic was to develop meaningful solutions that empower us to keep our promises to you the users of our products, our dealer partners, and the clinical professionals serving the needs of all who benefit from complex rehab technology.

Infection Control

As additional information became available regarding COVID-19 infection and contamination, we realized that many of our products were uniquely positioned to assist care facilities throughout the world in limiting the spread of infection. Our education and commercial support teams worked quickly to develop resources and provide unprecedented access to our seating and mattress surfaces that have infection control properties and could be cleaned in accordance with the CDC guidelines. Alongside thousands of other companies throughout the world doing their part to reduce the impact of the virus; Permobil is proud to offer the most substantial discounts on these products ever seen.

Continuity of Service

The hundreds of thousands of individuals that use our products and services are at the core of every decision we make. Continuing to serve a population where many individuals have underlying medical complications or are immunocompromised was an immediate concern for our team. We worked with our global production, supply chain, and sales teams to initiate several protocols in order to continue serving our customers and dealers while also minimizing any potential negative impact to them.

In our facilities:

  • Facilities closed to outside visitors/guests
  • Non-critical team members are not permitted in production environments
  • Team members with remote work capability are doing so until further notice
  • Production work stations and processes have been adapted to meet social distancing recommendations
  • PPE, disinfection supplies, and training have been provided to on-site team members

In the field:

  • Where possible, we will facilitate online meetings instead of personal meetings
  • For situations requiring direct customer or user contact, we are limiting the number of persons involved to an absolute minimum
  • Field service team members have been provided PPE, disinfection supplies and training on updated procedures

Dynamic Support and Continuing Education

As the impact of COVID-19 quickly grew within our regions, it became apparent that we would need to also adapt our methods of providing support and education to our dealer and clinical partners. Our Training, Education, and Marketing teams worked tirelessly to modify existing processes and develop new materials in order to continue offering valuable support. We have broadened our virtual learning opportunities and provided resources on the cleaning and disinfection of a wide array of Permobil products.
