I propelled my chair with my right leg and my right arm, that’s the only way I could get around. I was living independently because of that chair adaptation. If I had been in a regular chair…there’s no way I could’ve been independent. I didn’t want a power chair.
Without it, I couldn’t have gotten around. I would need help pushing. It allowed me to go to therapy on my own and get better. It also kept me out and about in the community, that helped my mood.
