Effective August 30, 2018, in order to comply with new labeling requirements in California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65), Permobil power products shipped to the State of California will include warning labels identifying any chemicals determined by the state of California to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity. Warnings will consist of an owner’s manual sticker and an information hang tag that must be provided directly to the consumer.
Because Permobil will only attach these warnings to products it ships directly to the State of California, dealers distributing Permobil power products into California from other states must obtain and attach Proposition 65 warning labels from Permobil before product is delivered to a California resident.
