During this webinar we will discuss the Wheelchair Seating Pocket Guide that was created in a partnership between Permobil and the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP). The goal of this resource guide is to link clinical principles to daily practice. We will look at recommendations on patient screenings and referrals as well as product selection to take skin protection to the next level in your organization.
We will address the following objectives:
• Name two risk factors that warrant a therapy referral for a specialty support surface.
• Due to poor seated posture, name two resulting medical complications that may impair wound healing.
• List two types of products that are considered a specialty support surface.
